The logic behind the Recycled Plastic Rating
The Recycled Plastic Rating (RPR) is a single trust mark that denotes the percentage of recycled content used in packaging, empowering consumers to purchase products that visibly identify their Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content.
The Recycled Plastic Rating will:
Instantly show consumers products packaged with recycled plastic content
Reduce waste going to landfill, incineration and into our oceans
Reduce CO2 emissions
Kick-start the recycling industry to increase the supply of PCR ‘raw material’
Calculate the embedded carbon saving per unit sold
